**Job Summary**

Grand Hyatt Barcelona is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Finance to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the accounting and finance functions, ensuring compliance with corporate strategies and brand standards.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Operational Management**
    • Ensure the effective management of the accounting and finance department, maximizing the utilization of technology and resources.
    • Review and approve purchase orders to ensure accurate chart of account codes are used.
    • Maintain and program master keys for the hotel, ensuring seamless interfaces and efficient operations.
    • Safeguard all contracts, leases, insurance policies, and financial documents.
  • **Income Audit**
    • Supervise the review and approval of daily income journals.
    • Conduct spot checks, such as cash counts, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • **Accounts Payable**
    • Review and approve invoice postings.
    • Check and approve weekly payment proposals and international payments.
    • Ensure the AP ledger is clear and accurate.
  • **Accounts Receivable/Credit**
    • Review and ensure AR is clear and accurate.
    • Participate in monthly credit meetings.
    • Approve rebates, write-offs, and transfers.
  • **General Accounting**
    • Prepare month-end journal vouchers.
    • Review and ensure balance sheet accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
    • Participate in financial result reviews.
  • **Finance Management Support**
    • Assist the Director of Finance in monthly financial reporting and analysis.
    • Compile budgets and forecasts.
    • Provide historical data and support details to department heads.
  • **Customer Service**
    • Support the hotel's focus on service excellence by training and assisting other departments.
    • Ensure finance personnel provide professional, courteous, and caring service to employees and guests.
    • Handle guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries efficiently.
