Grand Hyatt Barcelona is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Finance to join our team. As a key member of the Finance Department, you will be responsible for the efficient running of the department, ensuring that all financial operations are managed in line with the company's corporate strategies and brand standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
• **Financial Operations**: Ensure that each section of the Accounting and Finance Department is managed efficiently, maximizing the utilization of technology.
• **Accounts Payable**: Review invoice postings, weekly payment proposals, and check manuals for international payments. Approve all Petty Cash claims/reimbursements and ensure that the AP ledger is clear.
• **Accounts Receivable/Credit**: Review AR to ensure it is clear. Participate in monthly credit meetings and approve all rebates, write-offs, and transfers.
• **General Accounting**: Prepare month-end journal vouchers and review all Balance Sheet accounts to ensure schedules are prepared on time and accurately.
• **Finance Management Support**: Assist the Director of Finance in monthly financial reporting and analysis. Compile budgets and forecasts and provide historical data or support details to Department Heads.
• **Customer Service**: Support the hotel's focus on service excellence by training and assisting other departments. Ensure that Finance personnel provide the appropriate level of professional, courteous, and caring service to other employees and visitors.
**Requirements**
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial operations, preferably in a hotel or hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial software and systems.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
