IT Governance Project Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Governance Project Manager to join our team at Zurich Australian Insurance Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective governance of our IT systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Chief Information and Digital Officer to develop and implement IT governance strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies through the implementation of robust IT governance processes.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the adoption of IT governance frameworks, such as COBIT and ITIL.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including Group IT, Group Risk & Compliance, Group Legal, and Audit, to ensure seamless IT governance.
  • Develop and maintain IT governance reports to senior management, identifying and mitigating IT-related risks.
  • Support the development of streamlined processes for faster time-to-market of IT platforms.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Technical skills:
    • Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks, including COBIT and ITIL.
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards relevant to IT, such as GDPR and SOX.
    • Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive decision-making.
  • Interpersonal skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder management.
    • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience:
    • Educational background: A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree or specialized certifications can be a plus.
    • 5-10 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 3-5 years in a governance or compliance role.
    • Relevant certifications, such as PMP, CISA, CGEIT, ITIL, or COBIT.
