IoT Solutions Pre-Sales Specialist

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with regional Sales Teams and Key Account Management to engage in pre-sales activities and qualify sales opportunities.
- Serve as a technical advisor to Vodafone's clients, offering guidance, proposing, and designing solutions tailored to their needs and expectations.
- Evaluate the complexity and feasibility of technical solutions within Vodafone's IoT platforms and network capabilities on both global and regional scales.
- Lead presentations of IoT solution designs and conduct workshops utilizing Vodafone's IoT solution catalogue, effectively showcasing Vodafone's competitive advantages from both product and technical standpoints.
- Facilitate the sales process from the pre-sales and qualification phases through RFP/bid submission and contract finalization, all the way to implementation, deployment, and successful acceptance testing.
- Create and maintain technical documentation that aligns with customer requirements and business capabilities, ensuring customer approval of technical solutions.
- Generate clear and concise responses for RFI/RFP submissions to enhance bid success.
- Assist customers during deployment phases, testing, and ongoing support for new feature rollouts, while managing technical change requests.
- Coordinate with internal delivery teams or technology partners to drive solution design and testing to completion.
- Travel to meet customers as necessary, with an expectation of 50% travel within Europe.
Candidate Profile
As an IoT Solution Architect, you will be responsible for consulting enterprise clients on the design of connectivity solutions across various applications and industries. Your technical expertise and understanding of the business landscape will enable you to propose solutions based on Vodafone's managed connectivity and IoT offerings. You will guide the solution from the pre-sales consultative phase through to implementation and deployment, requiring customer-facing interactions and travel to client sites.
Technical/Professional Qualifications
Essential:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT/EE or equivalent.
- Proficient in both Spanish and English, with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with cellular 3GPP/LPWAN network architectures, particularly for IoT applications.
- Understanding of data communication, networking, software applications, and IT technologies.
- Strong customer relationship management skills, with the ability to engage effectively at senior levels.
- Self-motivated with a strong drive for success.
- Proactive attitude with a can-do mentality.
- Excellent communication and decision-making abilities, capable of balancing conflicting interests.
- Strong commercial management skills, including experience in contractual negotiations as a technical lead.
- Experience in managing complex changes within a technological context.
- Team-oriented with strong influence and relationship management capabilities.
- Adaptable to fast-paced environments.
Desired:
- Previous experience in a pre-sales role.
- Knowledge of the broader IoT market and technology landscape.
- Experience with GSI companies or multinational mobile network operators is advantageous.
- Familiarity with electronic device design, testing, manufacturing, and global supply chains.
- International experience with a well-developed cultural awareness.
- Additional language skills (Italian, Portuguese, or Greek) are a plus.
