As an EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) Sales Specialist, you will play a crucial role in aligning strategically with key EPCs throughout Europe while managing their international business prospects. Your primary location will be in Spain (Madrid). You will develop and execute account strategies aimed at enhancing growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will collaborate with Sales Colleagues across Hitachi Energy to cultivate customer relationships and create a diverse opportunity pipeline to achieve business objectives. This role offers a dynamic mix of responsibilities that require an experienced Sales Professional capable of establishing robust, long-term customer partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop tailored Account Strategies for the Grid Automation sector with designated accounts to position Hitachi Energy as the preferred partner and drive profitable growth.
- Ensure alignment with Business Goals and contribute to the overarching Account Strategy for Hitachi Energy.
- Create added value for customers and Hitachi Energy by ensuring a cohesive sales proposition across various business units.
- Maintain comprehensive records of opportunities for your designated accounts and provide visibility into current and future business levels.
- Play a pivotal role in establishing and achieving Sales Targets for your accounts, while supporting and coordinating with Local Sales Teams to secure local business. Take responsibility for securing export orders for international opportunities.
- Stay informed about growth plans, target markets, and ambitions for each of your accounts, and develop and implement account plans to expand existing markets.
- Actively participate in developing executive relationship strategies and coverage plans, coordinating communications for your accounts across Europe, sharing best practices, and driving standardization of Hitachi Energy solutions.
- Coordinate sales and tendering activities, managing interactions with operations teams.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of customers' business strategies, purchasing behaviors, organizational structures, decision-makers, and business drivers.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in selling Automation Solutions to EPC contractors.
- Proven experience in managing international Sales Opportunities for engineered solutions.
- Strong understanding of markets for Automation Solutions in Electrical Networks and Grid Edge Solutions.
- Experience in coordinating international bid teams to create innovative tenders.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate and manage customer relationships.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally to meet customers (up to 30%).
- A passion for transforming traditional markets and delivering innovative solutions to secure new business.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish at a fluent level.
