Job Summary

This is a sales position where the individual is responsible for servicing the current customer base, increasing sales within that base, and establishing new accounts. The successful candidate will effectively deal with customer complaints and recommend consignment in accounts where necessary.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Achieving sales quota per plan by servicing the current customer base, increasing the sales volume to that base, and establishing new accounts.
  • Implementing comprehensive sales plans to ensure increased market penetration and establishing of new accounts.
  • Developing and maintaining a good understanding of Abbott Medical therapy(ies) and product(s).
  • Maintaining business operations in accordance with corporate policies in respect to pricing, quotes, credit terms, expense reporting, and Quality guidelines.
  • Acting as a company ambassador at all times, representing the company in a professional manner and with highest integrity while interacting with customers and assigned institutions, physicians, and technicians.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A basic understanding of Abbott Medical (or similar) product lines and acquiring fair understanding of business, financials, products/services, the market, and the needs of assigned accounts.
  • A Bachelor's Degree or experience equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of successful sales experience within the medical device industry.
  • Well-organized and accustomed to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent personal computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point.
  • English Level: B2.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Customer- and results-oriented, self-starter.
