About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Meeting and Events Program Manager to join our team at Boston Consulting Group. As a key member of our Global Meetings Events team, you will be responsible for providing operational expertise and day-of management for medium to large-scale programs, accommodating 400 to 3000+ attendees, across all meeting formats including in-person, virtual, and hybrid events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of internal and external BCG resources to produce high-value, cost-effective, high-visibility, regional and global events, encompassing all logistics, contract negotiations, vendor arrangements, budget and team management, and on-site support.
  • Select and manage partners, preferably from the ME approved suppliers list, overseeing outsourced elements such as DMCs, production companies, and freelancers, and engaging relevant BCG functional experts, including Safety Security, Travel, Design Studios, and Meeting Events when additional expertise is needed.
  • Engage with senior leaders and steering committee members to ensure their goals and objectives are met while serving as the primary contact for internal clients' event needs, providing strategic thought partnership, operational expertise, and management experience for high-value, high-visibility events across all meeting formats (in-person, virtual, hybrid).
  • Approach problems in a structured way, proactively identifying solutions and understanding their impact, bringing innovation and creativity to service delivery, always keeping an eye on efficiencies needed within the team.
  • Document learnings and improvements for future events.
  • Play a critical role in fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and analytical insight within the ME team, leading by example and promoting a customer-centric approach, combining hands-on delivery with effective team deployment.

  • Deep technical, functional, and role-specific expertise across meeting and event services, including but not limited to space planning, accommodations, food and beverage, production, and incentive programs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Hospitality, Events, or a related field, and/or 6-8+ years of related experience in event management, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Proven experience in people management, with a high value placed on distributed global team management.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, flexibility, and a commitment to being an active team player.
  • Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Highly responsive customer service orientation, with outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility, as this job may require significant global travel (approx. 60 days traveling during the year).
