The Role

The Centre De Regulació Genòmica (Crg) is seeking a highly skilled Stem Cell Specialist to join our Tissue Engineering Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing patient-derived organoid (PDO) and mouse and human pluripotent 2D and 3D stem cell differentiation procedures, as well as executing CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing services.

You will work closely with our researchers to set up specific 2D/3D differentiation and gene editing procedures for various projects. Your strong organizational skills, high level of motivation, and ability to work independently will be essential in this role.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in stem cell biology, ES/iPS cell differentiation systems, and CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing. Your experience in troubleshooting cell differentiation processes and assays, as well as your ability to deliver projects to agreed schedules, budgets, and quality standards, will be highly valued.

The Unit

The Tissue Engineering Facility is a scientific-technological Core Facility within the Core Facilities Programme. Our goal is to provide researchers with the latest technologies used in stem cell biology, stem cell differentiation, organoid formation, induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), and CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing.

We are committed to helping the research community perform Stem Cell and Organoids projects to increase their impact and applications. Our Unit is constantly setting up new technologies that are emerging in these fields.

Requirements
  • At least 3 years' experience in stem cell biology and ES/iPS cell differentiation systems
  • At least 1 year experience in CRISPR/CAS9 or related gene editing system
  • Experience in working in a Core Facility or Industry/Biotech/R&D Facility
  • Strong Tissue Culture experience for human and mouse ES/iPS cells and PDOs
  • Strong experience in ES cell differentiation
  • Experience in cell lines gene editing
  • Experience with immunofluorescence, confocal, and FACS analysis for cellular characterizations
Education and Training

You hold a Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field. A Master/PhD Degree is considered a plus.

The Offer – Working Conditions
