About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Stem Cell and Gene Editing Specialist to join our Tissue Engineering Unit at the Centre De Regulació Genòmica (Crg). The successful candidate will provide expert services in patient-derived organoid (PDO) and mouse and human pluripotent 2D and 3D stem cell differentiation procedures, as well as CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and execute specific 2D/3D differentiation and gene editing procedures upon user request for specific projects.
  • Provide high-quality patient-derived organoid (PDO) and mouse and human pluripotent 2D and 3D stem cell differentiation procedures.
  • Deliver CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing services with high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve project goals and deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the latest technologies and techniques in stem cell biology and gene editing.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years' experience in stem cell biology and ES/iPS cell differentiation systems.
  • At least 1 year experience in CRISPR/CAS9 or related gene editing system.
  • Experience in working in a Core Facility or Industry/Biotech/RD Facility.
  • Strong Tissue Culture experience for human and mouse ES/iPS cells and PDOs.
  • Strong experience in ES cell differentiation.
  • Experience in cell lines gene editing.
  • Experience with immunofluorescence, confocal, and FACS analysis for cellular characterizations.
