About the Role

The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an international biomedical research institute of excellence, based in Barcelona, Spain, with over 400 scientists from 44 countries.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Stem Cell and Gene Editing Specialist to join our Tissue Engineering Unit. The successful candidate will provide patient-derived organoid (PDO), mouse and human pluripotent 2D (monolayer) and 3D (organoids) stem cell differentiation procedures, as well as CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and execute specific 2D/3D differentiation and gene editing procedures upon user request for specific projects.
  • Set up and maintain high-quality stem cell cultures and gene editing systems.
  • Collaborate with researchers to design and implement stem cell differentiation and gene editing experiments.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in stem cell biology, gene editing, and tissue engineering.
  • Contribute to the development of new technologies and methods in stem cell biology and gene editing.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years' experience in stem cell biology and ES/iPS cell differentiation systems.
  • Experience in CRISPR/CAS9 or related gene editing systems.
  • Strong tissue culture experience for human and mouse ES/iPS cells and PDOs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
