About the Role

The Centre de Regulació Genòmica (CRG) is seeking a highly skilled Stem Cell Specialist to join our Tissue Engineering Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing patient-derived organoid (PDO), mouse, and human pluripotent 2D and 3D stem cell differentiation procedures, as well as executing CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing services.

We are looking for a motivated and methodical individual with a strong background in stem cell biology and ES/iPS cell differentiation systems. Your experience in CRISPR/Cas9 or related gene editing systems, as well as your ability to work in a Core Facility or Industry/Biotech/R&D Facility, will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient-derived organoid (PDO), mouse, and human pluripotent 2D and 3D stem cell differentiation procedures
  • Execute CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing services
  • Set up specific 2D/3D differentiation and gene editing procedures upon user request
  • Collaborate with our team to deliver projects to agreed schedules, budgets, and quality standards
Requirements
  • At least 3 years' experience in stem cell biology and ES/iPS cell differentiation systems
  • At least 1 year experience in CRISPR/Cas9 or related gene editing systems
  • Experience in working in a Core Facility or Industry/Biotech/R&D Facility
  • Strong Tissue Culture experience for human and mouse ES/iPS cells and PDOs
  • Strong experience in ES cell differentiation
  • Experience in cell lines gene editing
  • Experience with immunofluorescence, confocal, and FACS analysis for cellular characterizations
