Position Overview:
Rockwell Automation - Kalypso is seeking an Advanced Process Control (APC) Engineer. We encourage applications from recent graduates as well.

For over 25 years, our team has leveraged our software solutions and engineering methodologies to develop advanced analytics and model predictive control applications for clients globally. Our applications seamlessly integrate with existing manufacturing systems, driving enhancements in product quality, production efficiency, and energy conservation. Our diverse portfolio spans various industries, including food production, polymers, biofuels, refining, and mineral processing, with numerous exciting projects on the horizon.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Advanced Process Control Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering customized applications that utilize Rockwell Automation's advanced analytics and model predictive control technologies. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting technical project activities such as design, system integration, installation, data analysis, modeling, and application development.
- Identifying and communicating technical challenges to the Regional Technical Manager (RTM) that may affect project outcomes.
- Providing the RTM with insights regarding project cost performance and any relevant performance guarantees.
- Supporting the documentation of best practices for application development.
- Leading advanced analytics initiatives and mentoring junior engineers.
Support and Maintenance:
- Delivering product, engineering, and application support to existing clients.
- Conducting regular system and application health assessments, performance evaluations, and generating reports with findings and recommendations.
- Following up on recommendations to ensure the sustained value of our applications for customers.
Sales Collaboration:
- Assisting the Solution Consultant (Sales Engineer) in market development activities as directed by the Regional Delivery Manager (RDM).
- Participating in sales closure activities as requested by the RDM.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in chemical engineering or a related field with a focus on modeling, statistics, or process control.
- A strong interest in automation, process control, and advanced model-predictive applications.
- Self-motivated with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience in managing complex projects within a process industry.
- Familiarity with instrumentation, industrial control systems, and supervisory control applications.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including potential international assignments.
- Compliance with customer safety and health requirements, including drug testing and safety training.
Desired Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in implementing advanced control solutions in a process manufacturing setting.
- Experience leading complex projects.
- Proficiency with industrial computing, networking, and data communication protocols.
- Familiarity with DCS (SCADA, HMI, etc.) and/or PLC configuration, particularly in relation to external application integration.
- Experience with Rockwell Automation or similar model predictive control products.
