Job Description:
GoldenRace is a leading provider of virtual sports betting solutions. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team and contribute to our growth and success.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on the company's business operations, ensuring compliance with gaming and betting laws in multiple jurisdictions.
- Develop and negotiate international software licence agreements tailored to the gaming and betting industry.
- Conduct comprehensive jurisdictional studies to explore and assess new gambling markets.
- Provide expert advice on intellectual property rights (IPR) protection, specifically for gaming software and related technologies.
- Advise on tax law and related matters to ensure compliance and optimise the company's tax position.
- Handle due diligence processes.
- Assist in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring, including drafting and reviewing relevant legal documents and agreements.
- Serve as one of the main contacts for day-to-day contractual reviews, negotiations and drafting, including reseller, referral, confidentiality and software licensing agreements.
- Create, utilise and adapt standard contract templates to prepare and finalise other agreements, such as Service Terms and Conditions, subcontracts, consultancy, agency and reseller agreements.
- Ensure that terms of standard forms and agreements align with company policy and regulatory requirements.
- Amend and extend existing agreements, managing renewal and extension dates and coordinating related negotiation timetables.
- Advise the organisation on appropriate intellectual property protection measures and on commercial, as well as legal, aspects of transactions.
- Present legal issues to management together with analysis, options and recommendations.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel on critical issues affecting the company, monitoring their activities and ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
- Stay abreast of international developments in gaming law and proactively address potential legal challenges.
- Provide strategic legal guidance to support the company's expansion into new markets and jurisdictions.
Your Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in providing legal advice to companies related to the gaming industry with a deep understanding of its legal landscape (Preferably B2B level).
- Degree in law and active bar membership in any European jurisdiction.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accuracy and precision.
- Effective communication at all levels.
