About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading company in the Digital Pathology industry as a Sales Specialist Digital Pathology - Regional Growth. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing the growth of the regional Digital Pathology business in Spain and Portugal, ensuring the implementation of the DP strategy, and leading the regional activity to win business from new accounts and existing Leica customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Business Development: Execute the regional Digital Pathology business strategy, with a specific focus on market share capture.
  2. Project Management: Build and deliver Digital Pathology projects that match customer needs and expectations.
  3. Sales Management: Manage at the regional level the Digital Pathology sales opportunities in large and medium-size competitive accounts across the full funnel process from lead to implementation.
  4. Team Collaboration: Partner continuously with the Account Managers, Regional Sales & EMEA Digital Pathology & Workflow Team to ensure consistent above-market growth.
  5. Customer Liaison: Liaise with Distribution and Customer IT departments to effectively design and implement the Digital Pathology solution.
  6. Market Research: Research and develop new opportunities to increase Leica Biosystems market share.
  7. Tender Support: Support the tender response team on technical application process.
  8. Value Selling: Able to communicate Vision 24 impact to customers and represent winning characteristics of Leica vs competitors.
  9. Smart Pricing: Support value selling and smart pricing models.
  10. DBS Tools: Applies DBS tools in all areas to maximize results and optimizations.
Requirements
  1. Education: University's degree in IT or Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent experience.
  2. Experience: Relevant experience in the Health Care IT environment: knowledge of technologies (including understanding of LIS, HIS, PACS, and other hospital and laboratory IT Systems), products, processes and selling/purchasing with the hospital environment, competitor and market awareness.
  3. Imaging and Digital Pathology: Experience in Imaging and Digital Pathology would be an advantage.
  4. Biomedical and Sales-Oriented Environment: Previous experience in a biomedical and sales-oriented environment with an understanding of the requirements and importance to follow procedures and process in a highly regulated sector by FDA and other government bodies is a plus (this includes budgets, forecasting, providing quotations, responding to tenders; negotiation, influencing and collaboration skills).
  5. Language Skills: Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English, in written and spoken.
  6. Travel: Willing to travel within defined territory up to 60% of the time.
