Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Rooms to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Laundry departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences and maximize room revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Laundry departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize room revenue and improve guest satisfaction.
  • Lead and motivate a team of departmental managers to achieve business objectives and deliver high-quality service.
  • Collaborate with the Hotel Manager to develop and implement departmental policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze departmental performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including hotel staff, vendors, and external partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure the hotel remains competitive and innovative.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in hotel management, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and delivering exceptional results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, guests, and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, with a strong understanding of local legal compliance requirements.
