Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director of Rooms to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our hotel's leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Laundry departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of the Rooms Division, ensuring seamless communication between departments and providing exceptional guest service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize room revenue and improve guest satisfaction.
  • Lead and motivate a team of professionals to deliver outstanding service and achieve departmental goals.
  • Collaborate with the Hotel Manager to develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Rooms Division.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and training to team members.
  • Monitor and respond to guest feedback and concerns, ensuring prompt resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the Revenue team to optimize room inventory and pricing strategies.
  • Participate in hotel-wide initiatives and projects, contributing to the overall success of the property.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in hotel operations, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
  • Proven track record of leadership and team management, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest service.
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations, including front office, guest services, housekeeping, and laundry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, with a strong understanding of local legal compliance requirements.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
