The Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics (MPI-CBG) is seeking a highly accomplished and visionary Director to lead our research efforts in molecular cell biology. As a senior scientist and research leader, you will be responsible for defining the overall scientific and technological vision for our institute.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive research strategy that aligns with the institute's mission and goals.
- Provide leadership for our research units and ensure the excellence of all MPI-CBG activities.
- Direct, organize, and manage the research, training, and internal organization of the institute.
- Propose programs of activities, new research lines, and potential sources of funding to the Board.
- Represent the institute at official and social events, in coordination with the President and other members of the Board of Trustees.
