About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Rooms to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our hotel's leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Laundry departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Laundry departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize room revenue and improve guest satisfaction.
  • Lead and motivate a team of departmental managers to achieve high levels of performance and guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Hotel Manager to develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Rooms Division.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and training to team members to ensure they meet the hotel's standards.
  • Monitor and review guest feedback and comments to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary.
  • Participate in hotel-wide meetings and contribute to the development of hotel strategies and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in hotel operations, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
  • Proven track record of leading and motivating teams to achieve high levels of performance and guest satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the hotel team.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, with a solid understanding of local legal compliance requirements.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and have a high level of attention to detail.
