Director of Group Sales

Marriott International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Group Sales to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing successful solicitation strategies to drive revenue growth and exceed sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:- Direct and manage all group and banquet sales activities to maximize revenue potential
- Recruit, direct, and manage a team of Groups Sales managers, executives, coordinators, a Sales Analyst, and Trainees
- Participate in sales strategy meetings and design HID's for vital processes involving Groups and Sales
- Work with the Director of Revenue Management to set pricing for group requests and collaborate with other departments to provide quality service to customers
- Attend trade shows, customer events, fam trips, and local industry meetings to build relationships and stay up-to-date on market trends
- Proven experience in leading a sales team and a minimum of 4 years' experience in Direct Sales
- Passion for sales and service, with excellent communication and computer skills
- Ability to work and deliver results under pressure, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration
- Knowledge of hotel and competitive environment, with a desire to participate as part of a team
