Job Summary

As a Sales Director at The Ritz-Carlton, you will be responsible for proactively soliciting and managing group and transient sales opportunities. This role involves managing the hotel's segment sales effort, up-selling business opportunities to maximize revenue, and achieving personal and team-related revenue goals. You will also be responsible for ensuring business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery, and driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Building successful relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings
Collaborating with off-property sales channels to ensure group and transient sales efforts are coordinated, complementary, and not duplicative
Developing relationships within the community to strengthen and expand the customer base for group and transient sales opportunities
Managing and developing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Providing accurate, complete, and effective turnover to Event Management
Conducting daily sales activities to achieve department goals
Using negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts
Executing and supporting the operational aspects of business booked
Conducting data analysis and sharing information on market conditions, competitors, client, and industry changes, economic forecasts, and trends

Requirements

2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 4 years of experience in sales and marketing or related professional area
4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years of experience in sales and marketing or related professional area
