Position Overview

As the Director of Beverages at Kyara, you will play a pivotal role in the pre-opening team, ensuring a successful launch and ongoing growth of our beverage offerings. Your focus will be on maintaining our high standards of excellence while continuously seeking opportunities for performance enhancement across all business areas.

Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating closely with the Director of Food & Beverage and their assistant to oversee daily operations.
  • Training, managing, and motivating the team while promoting a positive company culture.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and food safety standards.
  • Managing staff schedules and ensuring accurate rota issuance.
  • Overseeing stock management, including ordering, holding, and inventory control.
  • Forecasting sales and ensuring proper costing and pricing of all items in line with management targets.

This role offers the opportunity to engage both operationally and creatively, contributing to the dynamic environment at Kyara.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time salaried position that may require occasional travel. Flexibility is essential, as hours will vary, including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who possesses:

  • A passion for beverages, food, and hospitality, complemented by an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Resourcefulness in managing budgets and working under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • A solid understanding of finance and project management.
  • Intimate knowledge of the international bar community and cocktail culture.
