**What do we do?** We are a digital transport operator focusing on optimizing long-hauling in Europe. Thanks to our driver relay system that allows multiple drivers to switch between each other, we are improving the standard of trucking.
**Who are we?** We are a team of young professionals who come from different backgrounds (strategy consulting, sales, tech) and who have a clear mission: we want to create collaboration in the trucking industry to achieve a future where people live better and resources are used more efficiently.
**Where are we?** We are based in Madrid, although we have a global scope. We have operations in Spain, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, the UK and France.
Our vision is to move the world's road freight in relays to accelerate the electrification agenda and improve drivers' life.
**Your Mission at Trucksters**
Our Spot team plays a key role in making our business financially and operationally sustainable by maximizing the usage of our trucks. The Spot team is responsible for finding loads in the spot market, supervising their execution and supporting our collections team until payment is received.
As the leader of this team, your mission is to drive growth and ensure the seamless discovery, execution, and successful closure of spot market loads.
**Specific responsibilities for this role include**:
- Implement processes and tools that enables the team to scale while achieving high-quality results. A key part will be working together with our Product and Tech teams to improve our proprietary TMS software
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure an optimal utilization of available resources and flawless load execution
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and emerging opportunities
- Utilize data-driven insights to identify top priorities and define direction for the team
- Foster a collaborative and outcome-driven team environment, empowering team members to excel in their roles
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to enhance team capabilities
- Uphold a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and adaptability
- Champion the voice of the client, ensuring that our offerings consistently meet and exceed client expectations
- Gather feedback and insights from clients to drive service enhancements that address evolving market needs
- **Languages**: proficient in English, other European languages are a plus
- **Commercial team management**: ability of organizing a commercial team and making them aligned and motivated to adhere to processes and tools to reach targets
- **Building a team**: experience in hiring, giving feedback, coaching to make them shine, and firing when needed
- **Outcome oriented**: focused in achieving results. Efficiently manage time and prioritize efforts to maximize productivity and meet deadlines
- **Adaptability**: highly adaptable, easily acclimating to a rapidly changing business and industry. Can thrive working autonomously in an unstructured environment
- **Cross-functional teamwork**: strong interpersonal skills (communication, collaboration and stakeholder management) to work effectively with other teams in the company
- **Analytical Skills**: capacity of structuring steps required to solve a problem, identifying which should be the analysis required to prove hypothesis and conducting them in an efficient manner, obtaining data backed conclusions
- **Scalability**: experience in defining and implementing processes and tools with the aim of improving operations and making them scalable
- **Hands On**: does not hesitate to take unpleasant work and roll-up sleeves to get done what needs to be done
- **Tools**: advance knowledge of business intelligence tools (Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI...) is a plus
