The Head of HR role sits on the regional CE HR Leadership Group and is a member of the local Leadership/management team. For the two offices in Spain (Madrid and Barcelona) you will be required to support the business objectives and global people strategy playing a full-service HR role, leading and developing the strategic people plans and providing the tools for Partners/Heads of Department to effectively manage their high performing teams in a fast-growing environment. Who you will work with Reporting to the Regional HR Lead as well as the Office General Manager, you will provide leadership to all members of the HR team in Spain and act as an independent and trusted advisor to the key members of the management team on all HR organisational and people related issues. You will build trusted advisor relationships with the Office Managing Partner, General Manager, and their leadership team, along with other key stakeholders. Partners with OMP/ General Manager and their leadership team to develop and deliver people strategy aligned to the Spanish market strategy and the firm's People and Talent Strategy. Actively participates in the regional HR leadership team contributing to the people strategy formation by participating in global and regional HR projects linked to the strategy. Provides HR support, coaching and direction to partners and key members of management on HR related and people issues. Manages, leads, and develops the HR team. Works with the management team of the office, identifies critical roles and/or skills for future leadership positions and the potential pipeline of successors. Where there is a lack of pipeline or diversity, works with the appropriate talent management team to identify solutions. Financial Management, Policies, and Processes Completes the annual and quarterly HR budgeting process through analysis of past spend and potential future costs. Collates and acts on management information/ analytics on headcount, attrition, utilisation, ratios and other key HR metrics to inform the business and to optimise effective decision making. Ensures that processes and policies are in place to ensure that joiners, transfers, secondments, leavers (including redundancies, dismissals) are dealt with fairly, accurately, and consistently. Takes responsibility for risk and compliance in terms of HR legislative and regulatory requirements. Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Retention and Reward Works with the Spanish leadership to develop a talent acquisition plan that anticipates demand and capacity needs, future skills and capabilities, as well as attrition. Oversees the recruitment of graduates under the office/ country scheme, ensuring market position is maintained and costs are managed. Ensures that appropriate training is provided for those involved in the interview process. Oversees the performance management process from end to end including timetabling, communication, appraiser trainings, meetings to moderate ratings and agree key messages for appraisals. With the appropriate Partners/ Managers identifies and addresses overall performance issues/ gaps that impact on the success of the business performance/ strategy. Ensures the reward strategy is regularly reviewed and is aligned to local salary market data, and is in accordance with the global compensation framework. Manages and implements the annual salary and bonus review process. Influences and guides Partners/ Heads of Department in fair and objective decision making. Works with relevant Regional/ Global HRBPs to identify critical roles and/or skills for future partner roles and potential pipeline of successors. Where there is a lack of pipeline or diversity, works with the relevant Regional HR Leaders to identify solutions. Inclusion, Wellbeing, and Employee experience Works with the Global Head of Inclusion and the team to drive a culture of inclusion and diversity and empower business leaders and Partners to do the same. Identifies and adopts relevant and impactful initiatives, ensuring they are tracked and adapted as appropriate Works with the Global Head of Wellbeing and the team to lead a programme focused on improving the wellbeing of the employee population. Together with the team, monitors employee engagement through surveys or interviews and proposes improvement plans. Your career experience so far You will have experience as an HR Director, HR Manager/ HR Business Partner in a professional services organisation with a highly trained workforce and a reputation for HR service excellence. You will have gained significant operational experience and you will now be looking for a role that combines working at both an operational and strategic level.
