The overall task and responsibility of the Connectivity and Optimization Executive is to accelerate growth and generate increased revenue by furthering our technical relationships with suppliers.

Work with Contracting, IT team and suppliers to investigate opportunities for growth, and further sales of Sunhotels content via XML API/PUSH/CACHE.

Identify areas for improvement, goals & tactics and generate business from new and existing accounts.
Daily contact (account management) with suppliers dealing with commercial and technical issues to improve mutual business.

Key Responsibilities**:

To be responsible for delivering contracting viable technical solutions that will support and benefit the company.

This would include for example:

  • Evaluation of supplier portfolios of mapped product and together with the relevant contracting team, deliver enhanced and targeted growth of product delivery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with the supplier's technical and commercial staff.
  • Should have strong negotiation skills in respect to enforcing the contracting and technical position of the company.
  • Conducts analysis of supplier product and sales and provide planning for delivery.
  • Compile reports on delivery and growth of supplier product.
  • Provide support and expertise of a technical nature to Contracting.
  • Provide guidance and support to contracting related to prioritizing bugs / enhancements / projects or coordinating troubleshooting activities between the Technical, Supplier and Contracting teams.
  • Requires technical and contracting skills.
  • Coordinate technical contracting activities with other work units or departments.

Level of Financial Responsibility:

  • Overseeing both the quality and quantity of production.
  • Maintaining good relations within the organization.
  • Acting as mediator by communicating the problems, suggestions
  • Helping to address and resolve the grievances of the team.

Key Measures:

  • Working closely with contracting, IT and suppliers to achieve revenue/profit targets in accordance with goals set by the company.
  • Project history, supplier engagement and market strategy reviewed periodically with appropriate proposals made to senior management
  • Achievement of specific goals as agreed with management periodically.

Essential Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • IT literacy (in particular knowledge of XML API, PUSH, CACHE), MS office products
  • Strong understanding of supplier and market dynamics
  • A "can do" attitude coupled with the ability to successfully change technical relationships for the better
  • Ability to work with an agile team
  • Language: English spoken and written. Spanish and any other language are a plus.
  • Knowledge of internet and ebusiness processes, disciplines, and standards
  • Excellent problem solving, relationship building skill and interpersonal communicationskills, a must.
  • Must be highly detailoriented with respect to documentation and communication
  • Must have a desire for achieving excellence in optimizing, process, product quality and reliability

Essential Experience, Skills and Behavioural Requirements**:

  • Experience within the travel industry and in particular the wholesale side of the industry would be seen as a key asset in this role
  • Demonstrated success in delivering technical supply to grow existing and new business
  • Ability to conceptualize new ideas, and explain these to nontechnical personnel
  • A good technical understanding specifically with regards to how connectivity works (XML/PUSH/CACHE)
  • Highly developed communication and decisionmaking skills
  • Highly selfmotivated and able to perform well under pressure
  • Ability to understand and communicate technology concepts to suppliers
  • Comfortable communicating crossfunctionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings.
  • Required to travel to visit suppliers, trade shows, internal meeting etc as needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to travel
