JOB DESCRIPTION:


This role is responsible for ensuring the Sales Optimization Initiatives are properly implemented with a key focus on upskilling the sales team, maximization of our product distribution and provide visibility of the hotel portfolio while understanding drivers, blockers and stoppers for successful implementation in commercial teams.


The role is also responsible for the coordination of the Client Optimization Managers to equip them with evolved tools and standardize key opportunities among API Clients.


Accountabilities:

  • Ensure Adoption of Sales Optimization Initiatives, specially Compass Pro, Campaigns, Hot New Deals and others to come in the future.
  • Oversee initiatives/projects communications, training and adoption of the sales team.
- liaise and ensure smooth coordination with key stakeholders and drive relationships in line with the Commercial Strategy for tools such as Compass Pro interim and end solution, The Vault, OneMapping for Client facing improvements as well as incidences priorization.

  • Lead and coordinate Client Optimization Managers by setting standards and guidelines.
  • Provide mentoring/coaching and size the team structure to allow effective and scalable processes.
  • Ensure team is fully updated on key initiatives under Hotelbeds CFY Must Do and Priorities.
  • Ensure a succession and development plans are in place.
  • Drive best practices among the Sales Community, developing and managing the delivery and visibility of our hotel portfolio and automating reports/tools to be consumed by our key stakeholder (internal teams or directly customers
  • Act as an key consultant for Commercial Sales Teams focused on innovation and distribution knowledge.
  • Collaborate in/external communications of key changes in our portfolio structure, ie. New boardtypes, country restructuration's, new TPS on board, changes on ContentAPI display.
  • Represent Client Optimization and Commercial Excellence & Projects at key client meetings, which aim to deepdive in optimization requirements, alternative solutions and their performance with Hotelbeds, as well as virtual workshops, MarketHubs and trade shows
  • Participation & involvement in adhoc initiatives including analysis and optimization where API and product display expertise is required (Ad hoc base, ie. Initiatives embedder under Connect Supply & Demand, consultancy on Quality Contracting, Content Strategy)

Skills:

  • Strong commercial capabilities with deep understanding of business, market dynamics and API distribution channels
  • Experience in managing and developing people: coaching skills and ability to train, lead and motivate team members
  • Versatile relationship skills and ability to manage a broad range of stakeholders and direct reports
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast paced multicultural and constantly changing organization
  • Advanced knowledge of Office pack (Excel, PPT, word). Basic knowledge of XML, SQL, JSON language
  • Very fluent in English as key working language. Other languages are highly recommended
  • Creative mind / open mind. Out of the box thinker
Experience

  • 3 to 5 years experience within the online accommodation distribution business in optimizationrelated roles, being at least 2 managing teams
  • Previous experience in projects to successful completion
  • Previous experience leading international teams and inspiring team engagement across intradepartmental teams

Qualifications:

  • Businessrelated Diploma or Degree with strong emphasis on Business Administration or Hospitality Management
Key Challenges

  • Interact on a daytoday basis with commercial departments
  • Get a good understanding of API, system changes implications and client's business and distribution rules and model and match it with HBS own complex distribution rules
  • Adapt himself to the constantly changing environment of the Online Distribution Business
  • Ensure prioritization of the required developments and issues solving within the resources of the Inventory Tools
