PagoNxt Merchant is looking for a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & INNOVATION MANAGER based in our BOADILLA DEL MONTE office.

PagoNxt is a new company wholly owned by Santander that incorporates our most disruptive payments & trade businesses into a single, autonomous company, creating one of the largest private fintech companies in the world. This new company will deliver payment & trade solutions for merchants and consumers with compelling technology to become a leading global payments provider in the medium term.
In order to achieve these goal, PagoNxt is organized in three different business:
- Merchant Solutions, for merchants and acquirers.
- Trade Solutions, for corporates and SMEs.
- Consumer Solutions, digital products and services for individuals.
This role will be part of our PagoNxt Merchant Solutions team and will be responsible for building a global, open merchant payment platform and consolidate Santander as an acquiring world leader.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As a Business Development & Innovation Manager, you will work closely with PagoNXT Merchant Team and its subsidiaries in Latam and Europe region in order to identify opportunities to growth inorganically the business through partnership or acquision.
We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:
- Prepare desk research and benchmark.
- Follow any competitor movements and market changes in terms of regulation and new technologies.
- Understand the current expansion plan and development product plan.
- Meet to Innovation Researcher firms and Ventures Capital funds to identify potential partners.
- Scouting companies to make minorities and majority investments.
- Analyze the potential partners´ capabilities.
- Define assumption and identify potential risks during the partner evaluation.
- Elaborate business case and validate the assumption internally with teams from Global, Latam and Europe regions.
EXPERIENCE
- 5 years of work experience, with at least 2 in merchant payment related activities.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economy and Engineering
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Spanish and English fluent.
- Knowledge in acquiring services (card acceptance) and payment industry.
