WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

PagoNxt Consumer is looking for a Business Development Associate based in our Boadilla del Monte office.

PagoNxt is a new company wholly owned by Santander that incorporates our most disruptive payments & trade businesses into a single, autonomous company, creating one of the largest private fintech companies in the world. This new company will deliver payment & trade solutions for merchants and consumers with compelling technology to become a leading global payments provider in the medium term.

In order to achieve these goal, PagoNxt is organized in three different business:

- Merchant Solutions, for merchants and acquirers.
- Trade Solutions, for corporates and SMEs.
- Consumer Solutions, digital products and services for individuals.

This role will be part of our PagoNxt Consumer Solutions team and will be responsible for delivering simple, highly engaging payment solutions for individuals in order to become embedded in our customers’ everyday life.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a Business Development Associate you will report to the Consumer Business Development & Innovation Manager. You will work closely with the M&A/ Corporate Development Team and with local leadership teams to identify opportunities to grow inorganically the businesses through partnerships, alliances or acquisitions.

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:

- Research and benchmarking of fintech in selected payment categories.Lead the Scouting process from methodology to execution and reporting.
- Conduct market surveillance for competitor movements and market changes in terms of regulation and new technologies.
- Analyze the potential partners ́ capabilities in the Business and Product dimensionsfor real Market-Product fit.
- Work with the M&A team in thevaluation process. Elaborate business cases and validate the assumptions internally.

EXPERIENCE
- 5-8 years of work experience, preferably a mix from Fintech and/or Business Consultancy.
- Experience in digital payments, preferably on project/program management roles.

EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economy or Engineering
- MBA is a plus

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Spanish and fluent English. Portuguese is a plus.
- Knowledge in fintech services, a plus if experience & relevant knowledge of payments through wallets, cards and payment networks as well as consumer finance solutions.
