Job Summary

As a Reservations Manager at Marriott International, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and maximizing sales opportunities. This role requires a strong understanding of the market, including competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, and supply and demand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new reservations sales opportunities to achieve personal and property revenue goals.
  • Understand and analyze market conditions to make informed decisions about sales strategies.
  • Closely monitor same-day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and control property occupancy.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the property's primary target customer and their service expectations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to grow share of the account and drive customer loyalty.
  • Collaborate with sales and Convention Services teams to process rooming lists and reservation cards.
  • Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked, including generating proposals, writing contracts, and customer correspondence.
  • Assist in monitoring accuracy of reservation sales orders within tracking systems.
  • Track no-show reservations and process charges as needed.
  • Manage wait lists and prioritize order of wait list contacts to be made.
  • Prepare work and maintenance orders.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; no work experience required.
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major.
  • 2 years of experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area.
