Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team at The Ritz-Carlton. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of events and functions, providing exceptional service to our guests, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with chefs, stewards, and other team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Manage event logistics, including setup, coordination, and breakdown.
  • Ensure that all event spaces, restaurants, and coffee breaks are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Inspect and maintain the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silverware.
  • Provide exceptional service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, and special requests to the kitchen.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to company standards and safety protocols.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting the team to achieve common goals.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, consistently delivering exceptional results.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 2 years of related work experience in a similar role.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
