Job Title: Delivery Manager UK

Telefonica S.A. is seeking a highly skilled Delivery Manager to lead the Open Gateway project in the UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful deployment of APIs, Services, and Tools designed by our Product Management team in the production environments of our Operating Businesses (OBs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bring Open Gateway to the UK market, building a local vision and monitoring its success.
  • Define processes to deliver a local roadmap aligned with global teams.
  • Manage legal, privacy, security, and billing tracks, coordinating with local legal, business, and management areas.
  • Implement the Open Gateway Delivery Process in assigned OBs to ensure bi-monthly releases.
  • Support Engineering and Operations areas, communicating scope and process definitions.
  • Communicate project information to stakeholders, aligning with OB Product Managers and PMOs.
  • Coordinate between local units, facilitating communication and ensuring weekly OB reports for main stakeholders.
Nature of Problems and Challenges:
  • Maintain an end-to-end view of complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Prevent misunderstandings, weak commitments, or procrastination among team members.
  • Maintain collaboration, trust, and teamwork with global and local teams.
  • Ensure coordination and communication with relevant teams and stakeholders.
  • Address barriers through problem-solving and coordination.
Requirements:
  • Preferably, but not required, MSc/BSc degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Strong network of Telefónica stakeholders, mostly with OBs.
  • Deep knowledge of Telefonica's operations at a practical level.
  • Empathy to understand other teams' constraints and work around them.
  • Creativity to suggest solutions to project roadblocks.
  • Manage uncertainty and navigate the unknown.
  • Resilient, understanding the challenges of working within and with big organizations.
  • Driven, self-motivated, results-oriented.
  • Teamwork, enjoying working together and open to share ideas/support.
Professional Experience:
  • +2 years of experience in managing projects, preferably involving several countries and global units.
Language:
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Portuguese or German will be a plus.
