About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Geophysics Team Lead to join our team at Stephenson Operations Iso 9001. As a key member of our Marine Survey and Environmental Consultancy company, you will be responsible for leading our geophysics team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality geophysical services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and continuously improve geophysics standards and operational strategies to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Work closely with the Survey Manager to minimize vessel downtime and maximize acquisition efficiency.
  • Develop and propose geophysics methodologies in line with industry best practices.
  • Present cost-efficient and quality-optimized geophysical techniques to deliver projects under contract requirements and within budget constraints.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for vessel crew and Data Scientists.
  • Review the quality of all geophysical data and assist in assessing chartered vessels.
  • Support the Tender and Sales team by providing technical inputs and validating bid operational strategies.
  • Contribute to the improvement of Marine Scientists and Data Scientists skills and coach the team to improve work quality.
  • Collaborate with the Data Center team to optimize data processing, interpretation, and reporting.
  • Propose technical advances to continually advance company techniques.
  • Work closely with the QHSE team to identify hazards and define mitigation action plans.
  • Assess and investigate new technologies and build a technical case.

Our client is a Marine Survey and Environmental Consultancy company with its own accredited Laboratories. They specialize in the marine environment and offshore projects, delivering geophysical, geotechnical, and environmental survey services to industries including oil & gas, renewables, submarine cables, and ports.
