Job Title: Research Associate

As a Research Associate at Boston Consulting Group, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Data and Research Services team in delivering high-quality research and insights to our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct secondary research in support of proposals, client cases, and business or IP development initiatives, specializing in Infrastructure, Real Estate, Transportation & Tourism topics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing topic knowledge and industry expertise in Tourism, Hospitality, and Transportation sectors
  • Managing various research requests with a high level of accuracy and organization
  • Collaborating with consulting teams and knowledge teams to understand, scope, and deliver accurate, timely, and relevant data and information
  • Utilizing advanced research tools, databases, and sources to provide synthesized results
  • Working flexibly in a fast-paced environment to identify practical, timely, and innovative research approaches

Requirements:

  • 0-2 years of business research experience, with specialization in Travel and Tourism topics
  • Exposure to Tourism destination development and Travel Distribution topics is an added plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Tourism or Hospitality Management, with a Master's degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or Aviation Management being a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and English language, with fluency in another European language
  • Sound understanding of the European Tourism sector and markets

About the Role:

The Data and Research Services team at Boston Consulting Group is a research center of expertise that collaborates with our consulting teams to bring advanced research capabilities to support projects and clients. We work with both qualitative and quantitative data, conducting research and providing synthesized results from over 100 commercial sources, publicly available data, company and industry research, macro-economic, commodities, and trade data.
