As a Technical Content Developer, you will be responsible for managing a catalog of product support content for AutoCAD, collaborating with teams to identify needs, and creating, editing, and directing new content creation and improvements to increase consumption and findability of AutoCAD support content through digital channels.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify customer needs and develop audience-centric omni-channel content plans for AutoCAD across the post-purchase journey.
- Create, edit, and direct new content creation and improvements to increase consumption and findability of AutoCAD support content through digital channels.
- Review existing AutoCAD content to identify gaps and requirements for further development.
- Ensure the right AutoCAD content is available to all users at the right time by getting ahead of customer demand, de-duplication of efforts, and content reuse.
- Design and implement programs to match customer needs with appropriate content formats and distribution channels, ensuring positive, meaningful interactions with our products and services.
- Manage new product content integrations and product rebranding.
- Monitor technical content development initiatives, learn, and provide actionable recommendations for enhancing content effectiveness.
- Guide and train colleagues on best practices for content creation and improvements, aiming for efficiency and quality.
- Represent the team at industry events and internal meetings.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in content strategy and Autodesk-supported industries, and integrate relevant insights into the team and practice.
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in content management or content development.
- 5+ years in a customer-facing or product development role with AutoCAD.
- Understanding of content management, content design, and technical writing.
- Experience designing omni-channel audience-centric content plans and implementing them, including audience analysis and managing the full end-to-end content lifecycle.
- Solid project management experience managing projects involving several teams from brainstorming to conclusion.
- Analytical, solution-focused, and practical approach, considering goals and colleagues' priorities to achieve the right outcome for customers.
- Understanding of customer needs and can translate these into impactful content strategies and solutions.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS), authoring tools, and other relevant software applications.
- Experience implementing search engine optimization (SEO) strategies and large language models (LLMs) is an advantage.
- Ability to communicate effectively, simplify complex concepts, and collaborate positively across different levels and geographies.
- Independent approach, proactiveness, and a learning and improvement mindset.
- University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
