We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team at Semrush, a global IT company developing innovative digital marketing solutions. As a Technical Writer, you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality documentation for our software development team.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented writer with 2+ years of experience in creating technical documentation, including API documentation, for software developers. Your expertise in documentation types, writing style, and structuring will help you create a comprehensive and connected web of documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Edit and update existing documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Maintain documentation writing standards, style guides, templates, and doc linter rules
  • Advise development teams on documentation best practices
  • Improve information architecture and make documentation easier to find
  • Take ownership of and complete projects related to Knowledge Sharing and Management
  • Write documentation from scratch (on occasion)
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience writing technical documentation for software developers
  • Deep understanding of technical documentation types and writing style
  • Experience with docs-as-code (command line, Git, Markdown / reStructuredText)
  • Experience working with static site generators such as MkDocs
  • Fluency in English (near-native or native)
