About the Position

Job Summary

The Sales Application Specialist (SAS) is a key role within the Healthcare IT Solutions team at Werfen. This position is responsible for ensuring the successful sales of Werfen's IT products, providing exceptional customer service, and identifying new business opportunities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs to provide tailored solutions and establish long-term relationships.
  • Maintain a high level of service to maximize customer satisfaction and operational profitability.
  • Ensure technical knowledge to guarantee that solutions meet customer needs and expectations align with Werfen's offerings.
  • Be involved in pre-sales, sales, implementation, and sales of evolutions.
  • Manage various stakeholders, including internal and external parties.
  • Act as a point of reference for IT solutions sales and projects, with knowledge of Werfen's products, project management, and technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify new customers and promote the adoption of Werfen's IT solutions.
  • Establish credibility with decision-makers at the highest level to build trust and confidence in initial interactions.
  • Generate business with new and existing clients, applying IT knowledge and negotiation skills, in collaboration with Key Account Managers.
  • Prepare customers to understand the level of service Werfen can offer during and after implementation, through effective expectation management.
  • Advise on evolutionary services, including technological, functional, and organizational aspects, and manage service levels after implementation.
  • Be responsible for initial requirements gathering for project sizing, defining project scope, and service levels.
  • Create offers and calculate profitability.
  • Present and support economic and project proposals to clients, in coordination with Key Account Managers.
  • Lead the preparation of bid responses, collaborating with Key Account Managers, Product Managers, and IT Operations Area Managers.
  • Participate in project scope definition and final planning.
  • Participate in project kick-off and steering committee meetings, playing a critical role in project control.
  • Manage scope and changes related to it.
  • Accountable for risk and deviation management.
  • Responsible for quality control of project execution, including Go Live confirmation.
  • Manage conflicts in the kick-off phase.
  • Participate in project closure.

Internal Responsibilities

  • Act as a bridge between marketing, IT Operations, and the sales area.
  • Liaise with internal key stakeholders, participating in the overall IT solution sales strategy.
  • Responsible for achieving established business objectives.
  • Responsible for achieving operational objectives, including efforts, times, efficiency, and quality, set by the Healthcare IT Solutions Business Unit.
  • Promote company regulations and quality policies.
  • Guarantee adherence to the company's Code of Ethics.

Key Internal Relationships

  • Closely collaborate with all Healthcare IT Solutions roles, especially Product Managers, IT Operations Area Managers, and Project Managers.
  • Establish a close relationship with all sales roles, particularly Key Account Managers and Area Managers.
  • Develop good communication with Service, especially IT Support.

Minimum Knowledge and Experience Required

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
  • Mid-level vocational training in Microcomputer and Network Systems or Operating IT Systems.
  • Bachelor's degree or similar in Health Sciences, such as Medicine, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Clinical Specialist in Laboratory Medicine, Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, Haematology, or Clinical Pathology.
  • Mid-level vocational training in Laboratory Technician or High-level vocational training in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory Technician.

Experience:

  • IT projects within the scope of Clinical Laboratories and/or hospital environments.
  • IT Project Management.
  • Management of Clinical Laboratory structure and associated global processes.

  • Ability to translate functional requirements into integrations.

Technical:

  • Project management knowledge, especially scope, change management, and project closing.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in system architecture and virtualization.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in databases administration and application servers, especially WildFly.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in communication protocols, interoperability platforms, and data migration.
  • Fluency in computer language and jargon.

Languages:

  • Spanish.
  • Fluent English is recommended.
