Lead Engineer for Wind Turbine Control Systems

The Turbine Control department plays a critical role in our Offshore Technology organization, striving for excellence in control solutions that enhance the energy output of our wind turbines while ensuring the integrity and functionality of their subsystems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume overall technical responsibility for the functionality, configuration, and validation of wind turbine control systems.
- Collaborate across various organizational modules to gather requirements and represent the department effectively.
- Provide expert technical guidance to projects and team members in the area of Turbine Control.
- Engage in the scoping of new technology development initiatives and maintain technology roadmaps related to turbine control.
- Contribute to the establishment of frameworks and processes that ensure the technical quality and feasibility of deliverables.
- Advise on patent matters and assess internal applications.
- Participate in the Chief Engineer community within the Loads and Control Systems module, representing the turbine control domain.
- Demonstrate teamwork by supporting multiple projects and driving progress across various initiatives.
- Maintain and develop partnerships with universities and research institutions.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about renewable energy and possess the following qualifications:
- A relevant educational background, preferably at the M.Sc. level or higher in control engineering, wind power engineering, or electrical engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the wind industry, specifically in turbine-level control solutions.
- Strong intercultural communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Excellent personal impact, with strong oral and written communication skills in English.
