- Serve as a liaison between mechanical and electrical engineering teams and software developers.
- Architect software solutions for efficient execution of control strategies within a PLC environment.
- Develop Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate innovative ideas.
- Examine field data to identify and implement optimized functionalities.
- Establish acceptance criteria for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and field testing.
- Oversee the wind turbine control process from inception to completion.
Candidate Profile:
- Possess a technical bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or a related discipline.
- Have 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.
- Exhibit strong skills in abstract and modular thinking, along with proficiency in PLC programming.
- Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink is advantageous.
- Experience in agile software development methodologies, particularly SCRUM.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as SVN or Git is essential.
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profinet, CAN, Modbus TCP, OPC-UA) is required.
- Experience in the wind energy sector is a plus.
- Demonstrate a results-driven approach with excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in German or Spanish is preferred.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
