Job Title: Software Engineer - Wind Farm Control Development

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Nordex Group. As a Software Engineer - Wind Farm Control Development, you will be responsible for developing and implementing control systems for our wind farm controllers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement control algorithms for wind farm controllers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems
  • Design and develop software for wind farm controllers, including PLC programming and Matlab/Simulink
  • Test and validate control systems to ensure compliance with grid codes and customer requirements
  • Optimize control system performance to improve efficiency and reliability
  • Lead complex developments and communicate effectively with stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Degree in Control, Electrical, or Telecommunications Engineering
  • Deep knowledge of PLC programming with IEC61131-3 and Matlab/Simulink
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols, such as Profinet, Modbus TCP/RTU, and OPC_UA
  • Good experience in control algorithms and network technology
  • English language proficiency (very good written and spoken)
  • Independent, reliable, and systematic/structured way of working
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
