Lead Engineer for Wind Turbine Control Systems

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Innovate and enhance control technology functionalities within the operational management of wind turbines.
- Conduct technical assessments and develop software specifications.
- Execute software functionalities based on requirements on a programmable logic controller (PLC).
- Establish testing and acceptance criteria for the validation of wind turbine software.
- Ensure quality through software evaluations on the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) setup in the software lab and at wind turbine sites.
- Produce comprehensive software documentation.
- Collaborate closely with various departments in a global context.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- A completed technical degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or a related field.
- Experience in PLC software development in accordance with IEC61131 is preferred.
- Proven experience in defining software function requirements is essential.
- Strong understanding of various communication protocols (e.g., Profinet, Modbus TCP) is necessary.
- Proficient in MS-Office, particularly MS-Access.
- Familiarity with Matlab/SIMULINK is advantageous.
- Experience in agile software development methodologies, particularly SCRUM, is a plus.
- Proficient in English.
- A strong focus on results and quality assurance.
- Demonstrated initiative and a responsible, organized, and sustainable work approach.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
