Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Wind Turbine Control Engineer to join our international team. As a key member of our Wind Turbine Control department, you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge turbine control and automation technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement software functions for operational control of wind turbines.
  • Develop and optimize control technology functions in the area of operational control.
  • Implement software functions on programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Design software architecture for optimal execution of control solutions in PLCs.
  • Develop Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and qualify new ideas.
  • Coordinate new requirements with mechanical and electrical departments.
  • Clarify technical specifications for systems and software.
  • Analyze field data and define optimized functionality.
  • Define tests and approval criteria for HIL and field tests.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or a related field.
  • Advanced knowledge in abstract thinking.
  • Good knowledge of PLC programming according to IEC61131.
  • Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink is a plus.
  • Experience in agile software development using SCRUM is preferred.
  • Experience with version control systems like SVN or Git.
  • Good knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Profinet, CAN, Modbus TCP, OPC-UA...).
  • High results orientation and quality awareness.
  • Initiative, responsibility, and a structured way of working.
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
  • English language skills (very good written and spoken). Ideally, skills in German or Spanish.
