About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Food and Beverage Director to join our team at Hilton Barcelona. As a key member of our hospitality operations team, you will be responsible for directing and organizing the activities of our Food and Beverage departments, including the Kitchen, Banquet Operations, Restaurants, Room Service, and Bars.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food and Beverage Operations Management: Plan and direct the functions of administration and planning of the Food and Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation.
  • Departmental Leadership: Clearly describe, assign, and delegate responsibility and authority for the operation of the various food and beverage subdepartments, such as room service, restaurants, banquets, kitchens, and stewards.
  • Menu Development and Merchandising: Participate with the chef and restaurant managers in the creation and merchandising of attractive menu designs to attract a predetermined customer market.
  • Cost Control and Budget Management: Implement effective controls of food, beverage, and labor costs among all subdepartments and monitor the food and beverage budget to ensure efficient operation and that expenditures stay within budget limitations.
  • Customer Satisfaction and Quality Assurance: Regularly review and evaluate the degree of customer satisfaction of the individual outlets, including banquet service, to recommend new operating and marketing policies.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all Hilton Hotels Corporation policies and procedures that relate to food and beverage, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Team Management and Development: Hire, train, supervise, develop, discipline, and counsel all food and beverage management team members according to HHC policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent required; 4-year college degree preferred.
  • Experience: Ten years experience in food and beverage, three of which should be from a management level.
  • Licenses or Certificates: Food Service Sanitation, Alcohol Service Permit (if state-required), CPR certification preferred.
  • Language Ability: Additional language ability preferred.
