Job Summary:
Hilton Barcelona is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Food and Beverage Operations Director to lead our F&B team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for directing and organizing the activities of our Food and Beverage departments, including the Kitchen, Banquet Operations, Restaurants, Room Service, and Bars.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct the functions of administration and planning of the Food and Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation.
- Clearly describe, assign and delegate responsibility and authority for the operation of the various food and beverage subdepartments.
- Monitor and develop schedules for the operation of all restaurants and bars to achieve a profitable result.
- Participate with the chef and restaurant managers in the creation and merchandising of attractive menu designs.
- Implement effective controls of food, beverage, and labor costs among all subdepartments.
- Assist departmental managers in establishing and achieving predetermined profit objectives and desired standards.
- Regularly review and evaluate customer satisfaction of the individual outlets and recommend new operating and marketing policies as necessary.
- Develop operating tools necessary for modern management principles.
- Ensure compliance with all Hilton Hotels Corporation policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Hire, train, supervise, develop, discipline and counsel all food and beverage management team members.
Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge of food and beverage operations.
- Considerable skill in math and algebraic equations using percentages.
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with guests and employees.
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations.
- Leadership skills and demonstrable experience managing teams.
