Job Title: Kyara Beverage Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Beverage Director to join our team at Kyara, a vibrant and conceptual hotel bar in Barcelona. As a Beverage Director, you will be responsible for leading the growth and maintaining the standards of excellence in all areas of our business. You will work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage and Assistant of Food & Beverage Director to manage day-to-day operations, staff training, and compliance with health and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the team and lead by example
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including forecasting sales and managing inventory
  • Develop and implement training plans for staff
  • Ensure high-quality service that meets guest needs promptly and courteously
  • Manage effective communications and build strong relationships with team members and stakeholders
  • Conduct staff inductions and performance appraisals
  • Manage and issue monthly rota and track team productivity and operational expenses
  • Ensure that food and beverage products are of the highest quality and presented to the highest standard
  • Support the Director of Food and Beverage in administrative tasks, departmental reports, and strategic planning
  • Implement and enforce cash and payment control policies within food & beverage areas
  • Prepare monthly management accounts with the accounting department

Requirements:

  • Highly motivated individual with a passion for drinks, food, service, and hospitality
  • Entrepreneurial outlook and 'can-do' attitude
  • Experience within the luxury hospitality sector is desirable
  • Team player with a resourceful mindset and ability to manage budgets
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication in Spanish and English
  • Finance literate
  • Passion for hospitality
  • Strategic and analytical thinker
  • Intimate knowledge of international bar community and cocktail bars
