About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Beverage Director to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona and lead the growth and success of Kyara, our vibrant and conceptual hotel bar.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the team and day-to-day operations of Kyara, ensuring high-quality service and exceptional guest experiences.
- Develop and implement beverage programs, menus, and promotions that drive sales and revenue growth.
- Collaborate with the Director of Food & Beverage and Assistant Director of Food & Beverage to achieve business objectives and maintain high standards of excellence.
- Forecast sales, manage inventory, and control costs to ensure profitability.
- Train, manage, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional service and meet business objectives.
- Implement and enforce cash and payment control policies, ensuring compliance among staff.
- Prepare monthly management accounts with the accounting department and manage budgets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and local producers to source high-quality products and ingredients.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor analysis, and market research to inform business decisions and drive growth.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Beverage Director or similar role in a luxury hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and guests.
- Financial acumen and ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and inventory.
- Passion for hospitality, drinks, and food, with a creative mindset and ability to think outside the box.
- Intimate knowledge of international bar community and cocktail bars.
- Strategic and analytical thinker, with the ability to analyze sales and market data to inform business decisions.
- Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook proficient.
- Finance literate.
