About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at Swift, a leading financial institution. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in supporting our procurement activities and providing sound legal advice to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement legal strategies to support our business operations, ensuring alignment with company policies and regulatory frameworks.
- Provide expert legal advice on complex matters, including contract negotiations, dispute resolution, and risk management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth, while maintaining a strong focus on compliance and risk mitigation.
- Stay up-to-date with evolving regulatory landscapes and industry trends, identifying opportunities to enhance our legal framework and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead and mentor junior counsel, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the legal department.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external counsel, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and effective communication.
Requirements
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in corporate law and procurement.
- Proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex legal issues and develop effective solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
