**Job Summary**

Cardinal Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal and Compliance Counsel to join our team in the EMEA region. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide strategic solutions to our leadership team, provide legal support to our business and corporate governance, and manage company compliance matters.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide proactive legal and compliance advice and counsel to support our medical device business.
  • Set up and improve our internal legal system in terms of contract management, updating templates and SOPs.
  • Drafting, negotiating and reviewing commercial contracts, including distribution agreements, agreements with key customers and hospitals, and responding to tenders.
  • Anticipate legal, regulatory and enforcement trends in the healthcare industry and prepare the company to meet the opportunities and challenges presented by those trends.
  • Weigh in on business strategies and resolve operational issues cross-functionally.
  • Coordinate with external counsels on various projects within budget.
  • Assist internal investigations and investigations-related interviews where necessary.
  • Understand and implement corporate guidelines and policies with regard to our code of business conduct, anti-bribery, anti-corruption policies, healthcare compliance policies and procedures.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure ongoing activities meet industry norms and requirements on ethical interactions, and audit and monitor to ensure compliance with those norms and requirements.
  • Work with the International Legal & Compliance team to implement global compliance policy & procedure, legal & compliance training program to associates, and streamline work processes.
  • Lead or participate in international or global projects as needed.

**Requirements:**

  • At least 5-6 years of working experience in law firm/in-house.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry is desirable.
  • Legal practicing certificate is desirable.
