About Us
Navy Exchange Service Command, a leading retail organization, is seeking a skilled Retail Sales Representative to join our team in Rota, Spain. As a face of our company, you will play a crucial role in highlighting our brand and image while contributing to building our reputation as a customer-centric organization.
Job Summary
This role involves assisting customers, helping them recognize the need for our products and services, and articulating our purpose in an educational, insightful, and professional manner. You will be responsible for providing premier customer service, maintaining store appearance, and adhering to assigned work schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Proactively engage with customers, ask questions, listen to their needs, and direct them to merchandise, informing them about upcoming events, promotions, and mobile offers.
- Sales: Cross-sell products, know the layout of the store, make suggestions based on customer individual needs, upsell products, and use a Point-of-Sales system to process cash exchanges, discounts, gift cards, credit cards, debit cards, and cash handling.
- Inventory: Be the keeper of merchandise, complete all inventory processes, and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
- Dependability: Adhere to assigned work schedules, provide accurate and complete follow-through on work assignments, and participate in periodic inventories.
Requirements
- Product Knowledge/Experience: Basic knowledge of products and merchandise, with retail experience preferred but not required.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents, effectively communicate with customers, peers, and management, and communicate on the telephone with proper etiquette.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- REASONING ABILITY: Ability to multi-task, remain attentive to customers, and adapt to the needs of the business.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two consecutive hours, with occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
