Air Gateway Operations Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Air Gateway Manager to join our team at Amazon. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our 3P Air ground operations, contributing to delivery experience and speed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day relationships with 3P partners to ensure operation performance, quality, security, and customer satisfaction.
- Optimize capacity in a consistent way, seeking innovative solutions to improve productivity.
- Build and execute productivity plans by reviewing work forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with 3P partners to balance labor.
- Monitor the ramp handling process performance and proactively identify, address, and prevent potential disruptions.
- Collaborate with ACES/Quality teams to develop, manage, and grow the Air operations quality management and continuous improvement programs.
- Generate and understand performance metrics to drive business results.
- Partner with internal business partners, including air carrier management, safety, security, technology, legal, and training.
- Communicate effectively with both external (Service Providers) and internal (Safety, Finance, Technology, Legal, HR) customers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, engineering, aviation, or a related field.
- 3+ years of operations management, transportation, or related experience.
- Valid passport and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or foreign equivalency in Business Administration, Engineering, or Operations Management or a related field.
- Experience in the airline ground or flight operations, or air freight industry.
- Developing or managing complex logistical processes.
- Fluency in Italian and/or French, plus English.
