Job Summary
The Air Gateway Manager, Air Operations will be responsible for managing third-party ground handling agents to identify, design, develop, and execute new processes, goals, and solutions that increase delivery efficiency, reduce errors, decrease costs, and improve air ground operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day relationships with 3P partners to ensure operation performance, quality, security, and customer satisfaction.
- Optimize capacity in a consistent way, looking for innovative solutions to improve productivity.
- Build and execute productivity plans by reviewing work forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with 3P partners to balance labor.
- Monitor the ramp handling process performance and proactively identify, address, and prevent potential disruptions.
- Problem-solve to close gaps between performance and goals, collaborating with ACES/Quality teams to develop, manage, and grow air operations quality management and continuous improvement programs.
- Generate and understand performance metrics to drive business results, identifying and leading process improvement initiatives and lean tools.
- Partner with internal business partners, including air carrier management, safety, security, technology, legal, and training, to communicate effectively with both external and internal customers.
- Navigate through ambiguity, managing and coordinating multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, accepting ownership and accountability of the process and delivering on commitments.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, engineering, aviation, or a related field.
- 3+ years of operations management, transportation, or related experience.
- Valid passport and willingness to travel, with domestic and international travel required up to 25% of the time.
