Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Evonik Group. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing customer relationship management plans to identify and establish relationships with relevant decision-makers and influencers within customer organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute potential customer relationship management plans to identify and establish relationships with relevant decision-makers and influencers within customer organizations, facilitating effective two-way communication and problem-solving.
  • Communicate local action plans; explain their relationship to departmental strategies and the broader organizational mission and vision; motivate people to achieve local business objectives.
  • Build personal networks within the sales field and represent the organization at trade shows and other events to identify sales opportunities, promote the organization, and enhance its reputation.
  • Utilize personal expertise to identify complex standard products and/or services offered by the organization to meet customer needs regarding quantity and product configuration, providing clear justification and standard business terms to customers.
  • Collaborate internally and act as a customer advocate within cross-functional teams, building strong external customer relationships.
  • Input customer information gathered through research or direct customer contact into the customer relationship management system to ensure high-quality data for effective customer retention and business development activities.

Requirements

  • University degree (Bachelor's level).
  • Experience working independently without supervision.
  • General supervisory experience of junior colleagues.
  • Ability to express thoughts, requests, and plans clearly and effectively, and guide and train others based on this knowledge and skill.
  • Ability to work independently and provide appropriate technical guidance as needed.
  • Plan, organize, prioritize, and monitor activities independently to effectively meet business objectives.
  • Develop solutions independently while providing technical assistance as necessary.
  • Review and create relevant, clear, and effective reports independently, providing technical guidance to others as needed.
  • Develop, monitor, clarify, and understand policies and processes independently, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies and goals, while providing technical guidance as needed.
  • Independently apply knowledge/skill concepts and provide technical guidance as necessary.
